The stage is all set for tomorrow's staging of the Oracabessa Bliss Festival at the Pennysaver Amphitheater in Long Island, New York.
The organisers of the event are promising a treat for stateside music lovers with performances from King Yellowman, Coco Tea, Shelly Thunda, Tanya Stephens, Agent Sasco, Mikey Spice and comedian Majah Hype, who are said to be eager to entertain their audience.
Tanya Stephens, whose new album Damaged will be released in August, is a no-nonsense singjay who has been representing for the females since the mid-90s.
When asked about her lyrics, she shared: “I've never really thought about whether I write women's anthems. I'm very inspired by life and especially human interactions so what I write are my perspectives on real life situations.The females who inspire me most are those who manage to raise families with good values on a microscopic budget with little or no help. I stay grounded in their will and determination knowing it can be done, whatever 'it' is,” she disclosed.
In addition to music, the Oracabessa Bliss stage will also come alive with comedy from Majah Hype. The comedian, who recently inked a deal with BET TV, is known for his ability to effortlessly capture the accents and mannerisms of persons from practical every Caribbean nationality.
