Cops, husband accused in contract killing to make bail application

MANCHESTER businessman Vincent Coleman, who is accused of paying for the contract killing of his wife, is scheduled to return to the Home Circuit Court on April 9 for a bail application.

Bail application will also be made for Coleman's co-accused, constables Leroy Curtis and Denrick Thomas.

Coleman is charged with murder in connection with the death of his wife, Norma Henry Coleman, who was killed on October 23, 2015, while the lawmen are charged with conspiracy.

The date for the bail hearing was scheduled last week Tuesday when the trio appeared in court and were remanded.

Henry Coleman, a businesswoman of Begonia Drive, was shot dead while driving in Mandeville.

Investigators believe that her killers were paid $1 million to commit the act.

The prosecution has since disclosed that there was a history of abuse in the relationship with ended with the suspected contract murder of Henry Coleman.

It was also revealed that Coleman was arrested and charged with assaulting his wife and the two had been before the Mandeville Resident Magistrate's Court, but the case was eventually dropped in July 2015.
