Deejay D'Tall Boss has stepped up promotion for his latest song, Greater Now , with the release of a video. The single is from his upcoming EP.
From Bull Bay, he wanted the visual to be filmed in that seaside community as well as other parts of eastern St Andrew, such as Port Royal.
Parts of the video capture the challenges of inner-city life, something D'Tall Boss has experienced.
“The utmost respect goes out to everyone for promoting my song, Greater Now and the video. The musical journey has been very challenging, a lot of ups and downs, but I never lose faith — just kept going on,” said the artiste who was born Damion Darby.
Though he has always been around music, D'Tall Boss has has only been recording for two years. A former student at Donald Quarrie High School, he is strongly influenced by Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel, Popcaan and Bugle.
Greater Now is part of his preparation leading to the official launch of his EP. That launch includes shows at Camperdown High School on December 15 and in St Thomas the following day.
