EMERGING singer Enlys (pronounced En-less) is aiming to be a household name. He is pinning his hopes on his breakout single Feel Like Do.
He describes the song as a “motivational guide” which chronicles his personal journey.
“The song speaks to the challenges and negativity you will encounter on your journey. But if you believe in your dream or purpose, you can do anything you 'feel like do',” he told the Jamaica Observer.
Released in February 2018, Feel Like Do is produced by Seraephym Reign Entertainment. According to the singer, the track is receiving tremendous feedback.
Feel Like Do is the first single from his upcoming, 12-track debut album Anxo Hjarta (Gaelic for 'Angel Hearts'). That has been given a June release date.
“I want to continue to see Jamaican music be a beacon to the world and the worldwide appreciation continue to shine through like back in the days,” he said.
Enlys, whose given name is Garfield Sahadeo, is from Kingston and attended Ardenne High School. He started recording at 14, and, like most up-and-coming artistes, he has experienced his share of challenges.
“My difficulty is being unknown and not having a buffer to get connected to the right links,” he said. However, he is very optimistic that he'll break down barriers and get his music out, especially through social media.
“I am music, it has always been my medium to get my message out, a calling I can't ignore,” he said.
Enlys's previous releases include Friends, Lyrical Same Way and Hold A Vibes.
