Falmouth Hospital got a major boost recently when it received an ultrasound machine valued at US$25,000 (approximately J$3 million) from the United States-based Milwaukee Links chapter.
Orville Anderson, manager of medical imagery at the hospital, said the donation is highly appreciated as it will offer radiologists the opportunity to deliver better service.
"This portability type ultrasound, with its diagnostic software package, can easily be transported and deployed anywhere in the hospital, thereby facilitating on-site clinical decision-making," he said.
"We are focused on serving and providing comfort to those in need of aid. Our fundraisers are always used to provide this kind of donation," said Aldridge White.
