KINGSTON, Jamaica —The Meteorological (Met) Service of Jamaica last evening discontinued the flash flood watch for all parishes.
According to the Met Service, a trough across the western Caribbean, which has been influencing weather conditions across Jamaica, is expected to move away from the island by the end of the day.
Satellite imagery and radar reports indicate a decrease in shower activity across the island today, the Met Service said.
Projections are for showers and thunderstorms to briefly decrease across most parishes on Saturday. However, an increase in rainfall is expected by Sunday afternoon, as the trough west of the island interacts with a cold front now across western Cuba.
