Tahiti Kabañas is set to make its Kingston debut at the Sunken Gardens in Hope Gardens, St Andrew, tomorrow.
Nashwell Thomas, co-promoter of the event, shared why the three-year-old Portmore party series decided to move to Kingston.
“We brought over Tahiti Kabañas to Kingston as we wanted to give other persons the opportunity to enjoy the event,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
A staple on the Portmore party scene, the Tahiti Kabañas brand is known for its exquisite beach Kabaña layout and all-inclusive premium offerings. For tomorrow's staging there will be little change. While the venue isn't the usual beachfront property, Thomas confirms that all care has been taken to ensure the party retains its tropical feel. Mixed drinks are inclusive for the standard tickets. Those opting for super-inclusive experience will have access to a wide menu of fare.
Providing entertainment will be a quartet of DJs — Code Red, ZJ Nova, DJ Tyler and DJ Flabba — all known for their musical specialities.
“We didn't choose to call it Tahiti Kabañas: Tropical Paradise for nothing,” he said.
Given the already filled Kingston premium party scene, Thomas has been all out promoting his brand since the event launch on June 8 at Escape 24/7, New Kingston, with a series of launch parties.
“We always try to be innovative and the launch party concept was borne out of the need for something different,” Thomas explained.
Since June 8, there have been two more Tahiti Kabañas launch party events across Kingston: Ribbiz on June 14 and A-Bar on June 21.
“They all went well and were well supported. The aim was to give people a small taste of what Tahiti Kabañas had to offer. We're now looking forward to Sunday.”
