For close to a year, this section of the road surface along the popular Ken Hill Drive in Pembroke Hall, St Andrew, has been a game of swinging, skidding and chance-taking for the thousands of motorists who use the thoroughfare each day.
The affected section also faces one of the leading businesses, Tools Hardware, and is close to the entrance to the much used Boulevard Shopping Centre. Motorists have spoken to several close shaves, with vehicles trying to avoid the craters narrowly missing head-on contact with others. One motorist even remarked: “Look how long them pothole dey ya so. A wait dem a wait fi somebody dead or a major accident before dem come fix it. An when you consider that is the minister of finance (Dr Nigel Clarke) is the Member of Parliament for the area, this should a fix long time.
