Binnie takes silver at Pan Am Squash Champs

Jamaica's Chris Binnie has described his history making silver medal run in the men's singles competition at the Pan American Squash Championships in the Cayman Islands on Wednesday night as a stepping stone. Binnie was beaten by number one seed Diego Elias of Peru 11-7, 11-8, 11-5 in the final.

Binnie, who is Jamaica and Caribbean’S number one ranked player, created a history at the tournament when he became the first Jamaican to get to the quarter-final stage and beyond in the men's singles competition. eanwhile, Binnie, Bruce Burrowes and Lewis Walters defeated Guyana 3-0 in the team competition on Thursday to book a quarter-final spot against Mexico on Friday.
