Bull Bay pulled off a giant-killing act at Bull Pen on Wednesday, ambushing Super League outfit, Central Kingston 3-2 to secure their spot in the KSAFA Jamaica National Jackie Bell Knockout Competition. The Major League team was sent ahead in the third minute by Bovell Grossett from the penalty. Jamar Grant’s strike in the 40th minute, ensured they went into half-time with a 2-0.
But after Gawayne Hibbert scored Bull Bay's third goal in the 90 minutes, Central Kingston rallied with two late consolation goals in time added on through Romario Harding and David Smith. Elsewhere, on the day, Major League outfit Rockfort sent Super League side Barbican packing with a 4-3 penalty shootout victory. The teams had played to a 0-0 regulation and extra time draw.
The competition continues on Thursday with two games. Harbour View will entertain Whitfield Town while UWI FC will play at home to Boys’ Town.
