Waterhouse's campaign in the CONCACAF Champions League all but ended on Tuesday night after going down 2-1 to DC United in their return leg clash at the National Stadium.
The game was a must win for Waterhouse to put the club in a strong position to qualify for round two. But Fabian Espindola scored in minutes 38 and 51 to give the Washington based team a two-nil cushion.
Hughan Gray pulled one back in the 71st minute but the Drewsland based team couldn't find the goals necessary to prolong their stay in the competition.
DC United joined Waterhouse on six points with two games to play, home and away against Tauro FC of Panama.
Waterhouse's only chance is for Tauro to beat DC United, in both their remaining fixtures.
DC had beaten Waterhouse 1 nil when they met last month in the United States.
