The Jamaica Defence Force will continue its search for more soldiers later this week, with recruitment activities set to begin tomorrow and end on Friday, December 1 in the county of Cornwall, the army said in a statement last week.
Starting at 8:00 am each day, the JDF said that the aim of the drive is to provide it with additional members, as part of the Jamaica National Service Corps.
Tuesday, November 28: Sharon Baptist Christian Educational Centre, Santa Cruz, St Elizabeth.
Wednesday, November 29: Independence Park, Hendon Circle, Savannah-la-Mar, Westmoreland.
Thursday, November 30: Montego Bay Community College, Alice Eldemire Drive, Montego Bay, St James.
Friday, December 1: Falmouth Police Station, Rodney Street, Falmouth, Trelawny.
The JDF is urging persons not to visit the recruiting locations that are outside of the parishes mentioned above, as they will not be processed.
The recruiting drive will cover all parishes in a systematic manner and, according to the JDF, it is therefore not necessary for applicants to journey outside of the stipulated recruiting zone.
Residents living in the counties of Middlesex and Surrey will be accommodated on dates to be announced, the JDF said.
