The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has described as inadequate, the amount of funds that FIFA has earmarked for the Reggae Girlz preparation ahead of next year's World Cup in France. FIFA president Gianni Infantino announced on Friday that over U.S. $11 million has been earmarked to be divided among the 24 countries set to compete at next summer's showpiece event to help teams prepare for the tournament.
The Reggae Girlz through the JFF will also benefit from a financial contribution for how well they do in the tournament. The World Cup champion will pocket U.S. $4 million. The World Cup draw will take place on December 8 in Paris. The FIFA Women's World Cup will run from June 7 to July 7 of next year.
