Manchester United steadieds their sinking ship on Sunday with a resounding 4-nil triumph over Queen's Park Rangers in the Barclay's Premier League.
It was a long overdue win for the Red Devils who got off to a rousing start when Argentinian Angel Di Maria opened the scoring on 24 minutes. Goals by Ander Herrera and skipper Wayne Rooney followed before the interval as United went in 3-0. Juan Mata added a 4th in the 58th minute before United took their feet off the gas.
In other results on Saturday: Arsenal and Manchester City drew 2-2; Chelsea beat Swansea City 4-2; Crystal Palace and Burnley drew 0-0; Southampton blitzed Newcastle United 4-0; Leicester City clipped Stoke City 1-0; Sunderland held Tottenham Hotspurs 2-2; Everton beat West Bromich Albion 2-0; and Aston Villa upset Liverpool 1-0.
Chelsea leads the standings with 12 points ahead of Aston Villa 10, Swansea City 9, followed by Southampton, Manchester City and Tottenham all on 7-points; Arsenal 6, Liverpool 6, Manchester United, Everton and Leicester City all on 5 points.
