A number of mouth-watering match-up between unbeaten teams will be on offer today in the fourth round of games in the group stage of ISSA Lime Manning Cup.
None will be bigger than the top of the table Group G tussle between title holders Jamaica College and former winners Norman Manley. Both teams have won their opening 2 games, JC however are ahead with a +6 goal difference with Norman Manley +3 after scoring 5 goals and conceding 2.
The other game in the group sees Jonathan Grant hosting winless Kingston Technical.
In Group A, red hot St. Georges College, chasing a third straight win, entertain a Jose Marti team who will be seeking to rebound from a 1-0 defeat in their last outing to Kingston College on Friday.
The Lenworth Hyde coached Kingston College on the other hand are unbeaten after 2 games and will be seeking to continue momentum and keep pace with their North Street rivals when they play away to Waterford.
Group D leaders Haile Selassie are proving to be this year’s Cinderella team and in their last outing stopped former champions Bridgeport 2-0 on Friday to follow up on their 2-1 win over Papine. The Michael Williams led team, who lead the table with 9 points, will be seeking a 4th straight win but face tough opposition in the form of second place Camperdown who have won both their games to be on 6 points.
The other games in the group see Papine taking on Bridgeport and Dunoon facing Greater Portmore.
In Group E Walker Cup champions Wolmers, fresh from their 4-0 drubbing of Spanish Town on Friday, take on a Holy Trinity team that is brimming with confidence after winning its opening two games. Both teams are on 6 points and the winner will take over sole leadership.
Elsewhere beaten 2001 finalist Spanish Town can move to 6 points and maintain their hopes of advancing to the second round providing they beat winless Clan Carthy.
