Christopher Deroux Brown and Amar K Jehs are principals behind the Nuvision Empire Music label. The label has been in existence since 2014.
Brown — who is from Spanish Town — has been in music production since he was 19 years old.
“I've been producing since I was 19, but professionally when I was 24. I have produced songs such as Dat A Di Pree by Navino, My Way by Bridges and Crazy, featuring Samria,” Brown told Jamaica Observer.
“I've produced background instrumentals and beats for TV shows such as Black Ink Crew New York, Black Ink Crew Chicago, The Shahs of the Sun Set, and States of Undress on the Vice Land Network among others,” said Brown.
Brown's unique approach to his rhythm compositions features a fusion of futuristic sounds, with hip hop, pop, dancehall, trap elements and rhythm & blues.
He was inspired by his cousin, Andre O Fennell, and close friend, Dwayne A Shippy (both multiple Grammy-nominated songwriters and record producers). He later began to channel his efforts into his own creative efforts, which amounted to a decision to pursue a career in music.
Amar K Jehs, also known as Jehs Beats, is a Brooklyn music producer and instrumentalist. He got involved in music by crafting records for various artistes in New York. He later founded the production company Jehs Beats Music, LLC with the intention to build his music catalogue.
