Romain Virgo to light up WCMF 2017 stage

Reggae crooner, Romain Virgo, is set to light up the stage at the World Creole Music Festival (WCMF), when he performs at the Festival on Saturday, October 28, at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium, Roseau, Dominica.

The VP Records, chart topping artiste, who has three albums to his name and a string of hits is sure to please fans, as he makes his debut appearance on the biggest stage of world creole music.

Virgo is a true natural, an innovative and dynamic singer who has over the past decade brought back love and smooth groove to the reggae music scene in the Caribbean and around the world. His cover version of Sam Smith’s massive hit, Stay With Me, legitimised his status as one of the Caribbean’s most versatile singers with his version, topping charts especially around the Caribbean. He follows in the footstep of singers like Sanchez and others who have made a name for themselves with cover versions of international hit songs and whose smooth and melodious voices have earned them huge global appeal.

A line-up of top local, regional, and international acts, covering a diverse range of creole music.

This year’s line-up includes, Machel Montano, Kalash, Mavado, Yemi Alade, Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons, Sweet Micky, Kai, Etana, Klass, Marcé and Tumpak, Asa Bantan, Triple Kay International, Mizik à Nou All Stars, Breve, Swingin’ Stars, and the Zouk All Stars featuring Jean Marc Ferdinand, Orlane, Francky Vincent, and Stéphane Ravor.
