Amidst speculation that one of her latest tracks, Prison Wife, speaks to a relationship between herself and incarcerated deejay Vybz Kartel, dancehall artiste Stylish is setting the record straight.
In an interview with the STAR, the female entertainer said there was nothing intimate about her relationship with Vybz Kartel and explains that the song is just a fresh angle on an ongoing issue.
"People will speculate. They will hear the song and, based on previous work, they will come up with things, but there was never anything intimate between us," she said.
The song, she explained, is about an issue many women can relate to. "Oftentimes, you are involved with someone who ends up behind bars and you become the only person they can now depend on because all of the friends left with the hype," she said.
The Are You Ready singer revealed that a video for the song is expected to hit the streets in the next two weeks but that was all the information she was ready to give surrounding its impending release. "I don't want to let out too much but it will be different," she said.
The Building Block Records artiste also told the STAR that she is currently promoting two new singles, No Eyewater on Seanizzle's new rhythm as well as Willing Fi Share on Justus Arison's High Life rhythm.
