Trini Magic upsets in Jockeys' Guild feature

A mild upset was created in Saturday's feature Jamaica Jockeys' Guild Trophy at Caymanas Park as the 9-1 chance Trini Magic under apprentice Linton Steadman for trainer Ryan Darby, got the nod over the even-money favourite Eddie's Princess. The frame for the Restricted Allowance 5 contest for native bred 4 year olds and up over 7 furlongs was completed by Raksha and Blood Song.

Apprentice Dane Dawkins had a double on the 10 race card while no trainer had more than one win. The programme was celebrated as Jamaica Jockeys' Guild Day. Racing continues next Saturday with the 44th running of the season's first classic, the 1000 Guineas.
