Maintenance work to affect Manchester water supply

The National Water Commission (NWC) has advised that due to maintenance work being carried out at the Spur Tree facility in Manchester, production at the Greater Mandeville Water Supply has declined by 50 per cent. As a result, customers who are served by this facility are experiencing either low pressure or periods without piped water.

The affected areas are Pepper, Downs, Prospect, sections of New Forest, Farm, Nain, Sea Air, Spur Tree, Greenvale, Hatfield, Dunrobin, Mandeville Town, Georges Valley, Richmond, Old England, Gray Ground, New Port, Ward Avenue, Heartease, Albion, May Day, Brumaila, Marshall's Pen, Lincoln, Huntley, Greenvale, Mike Town and surrounding areas.

The agency said its maintenance team is working to complete the necessary work and restore regular water supply by Monday.
