Pop style in Junction

The 2018 staging of Campari Pop style hit Jamaica's south coast recently with a stop in Junction, St Elizabeth. It was a night of fun, style and music, as over a thousand party goers converged at Pine Plaza for the chance to be dubbed Campari's Most Stylish.

The fashionably dressed partygoers brought their A-game, as they strutted their stuff upon entry. St Elizabeth native, ZJ Nova was right at home as she kept patrons entertained while they geared up for the highlight of the night.

Fluffy Diva, Miss Kitty, emerged onto the stage and was enthusiastically welcomed. Stylish hopefuls and supporters surrounded the stage for a closer look at the most fashionable persons.

Resident judge Tony Krash, Jamaican designer and 2017 Campari Pop Style's Most Stylish Male, was invited to take the stage. He was joined by Desha Ravers, the series second resident judge, who danced her way to her spot. Fashion Barber, a popular barber on the Jamaican scene known for his out of the box and colourful style, also joined the judging panel as guest judge.

After much anticipation, the top four stylish males and females were called to the runway. The competition was stiff and the finalists were cheered on by their supporters. When the cheering subsided, singer and vocal coach Nicketa Steer earned bragging rights as Campari's Most Stylish female. Her street-style inspired look featured a bold printed bandeau top with a floor-length sheer mesh skirt and skin-tight shorts. Combat boots completed the look. She walked away with the $100,000 prize money.

It was a night for the creatives as the Most Stylish Male, Nino Brown, is also a musician. He came full on with a bright yellow dress shirt, a double blazer (gold and the other red) with velvet appliquéd pants and a golden crown to make himself King of the Stylish. Both Steer and Brown have an automatic spot in the grand finale and a chance to walk away with $250,000 in Kingston on Saturday December 1.

Two more events are slated to be held in the Campari Pop Style party series. The next staging of the party will be on Saturday, November 17.
