Public Affairs Commentator Claude Robinson is proposing an immediate Cabinet reshuffle and that Dr. Nigel Clarke, newly elected MP for St. Andrew be appointed to the reshaped Cabinet.
Mr Robinson, speaking on RJR’s Beyond the Headlines on Monday evening, argued that, based on Dr Clarke's national profile and his achievements to date, he should have a place in the Cabinet.
Dr. Clarke should be given full responsibility for the Economic Growth and Job Creation portfolio, “so that he can actually do the things that he attempted to do when he was on the Growth Council,” he said.
“Now that he has political office and Cabinet office (if assigned to the Cabinet), let’s see what he can really to,” he added.
As part of that realignment, he’s recommending that the Housing portfolio should be taken out of the Office of the Prime Minister and be assigned exclusively to Dr. Horace Chang.
