Rotary club awards scholarships to 7 students

SEVEN students who attend The University of the West Indies, Westwood High, St Andrew High School for Girls, Merl Grove High, and Mannings Hill School in Kingston, Bethel Academy in May Pen and St Mary's College in St Catherine, have been awarded a total of $245,000 by the Rotary Club of St Andrew North's Education Foundation towards books, school fees, boarding and transport expenses.

The presentations took place at the September 3 meeting of the club. The total amount represents part proceeds from the club's inaugural golf tournament held on June 18 this year at Caymanas Golf and Country Club.
