Senior journalist and media personality Simon Crosskill is in urgent need of blood. An appeal was made yesterday by his daughter, Danielle Crosskill, on social media platform Instagram.
"Hi everyone, my dad is undergoing his fourth surgery in four months and is in URGENT need of blood. Please, please donate if you can. Blood donations can be made to Simon Crosskill at the UWI blood bank or any blood bank islandwide, no matter your blood type," she wrote.
Crosskill, 58, was born in England. According to the Jamaica Directory of Personalities, he lives by the motto: "Work hard, play hard and squeeze every drop out of life".
The veteran broadcaster, whose works in media has spanned several decades, served as group sports editor at Radio Jamica between 1999 and 2005. He is also a former station manager at Hitz 92 FM.
