A 16-year-old boy of Retrieve, Cambridge, in St James has been charged with the December 29, 2017, murder of Lascelles Warlock, a 53-year-old farmer of Pisgah district in St Elizabeth.
The teen was charged last Thursday after he was positively identified during an identification parade. His court date will be announced.
He was arrested on Monday, January 29, following a confrontation between gunmen and police in Kilmarnock, St Elizabeth. One man was fatally shot during the confrontation and a Uzi submachine gun with two magazines containing thirty-five 9mm rounds of ammunition was seized.
Reports from the Cambridge police are that at about 3:30 p.m., Warlock was driving a Toyota minibus along Cambridge main road when he was signalled to stop by a man who allegedly robbed him and his passengers. The man then opened gunfire at them, hitting Warlock multiple times. The passengers escaped without injury.
