Three J’cans fall, one rises on Billboard Reggae Chart

Albums by Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley, Chronixx and Jesse Royal, have all slipped on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart for the week ending November 25, down from their positions on the previous listing. However, it is not a fall for all the Jamaican solo vocalists on the current ranking, as Sizzla has moved up a place from last week, to currently be at number 13 with, I’m Yours.

Marley’s Stony Hill, is at four, down a place from last week; while Jesse Royal’s Lily of da Valley, is eighth, also losing a single position from the previous ranking. Chronixx’s Chronology has lost the most ground, swooping from four to nine in its 18th week on the listing.

New at the top of the heap is, Marching Orders (The Green), followed by the set it knocked from number one, SOJA’s Poetry in Motion. Mista Savana’s Havana Meets Kingston (Soundtrack), is the week’s highest ranked debut at number three. More to Say (The Frightnrs) follows Stony Hill to complete the top handful.

Apart from Lily of da Valley and Chronology, the chart’s second third is populated by Opening Night (DELA and the Agrolites) at six, followed by The Hookup (Kash’d Out). Major Lazer’s Know No Better EP is at 10.
