TRELAWNY, Jamaica — The Trelawny Parish Court in Falmouth has been evacuated due to a bomb threat.
The Court Management Services (CMS) reported that staff and members of the public were asked to evacuate the building at approximately 11:20 am to allow the police and other experts to carry out their investigations.
This is the second such threat at the court since the start of the year, as on August 21, it was forced to close and was reopened for sessions the next day.
Members of the public with matters scheduled for today at the court are being advised to go to the Duncans Courthouse at 1:00 pm where their matters will be mentioned and new dates set.
The Falmouth courthouse will be reopened as soon as clearance is given by the authorities.
